Visual Artist – Studio & Production Assistant / Art Education | Berlin

I am a Japanese visual artist based in Berlin, looking for part-time, freelance, or project-based opportunities in artist studios, art schools, workshops, and art-related production.
I studied Fine Art at Art University in Japan and later completed an MFA in New York. Since then, I have been working professionally as an artist and have exhibited internationally in Japan, the US, Asia, and Europe.
My main specialization is painting, particularly oil painting, and I also work with drawing, watercolor, acrylic, collage, paper, and mixed media. My own practice combines layered paper, collage, sanding, and other material-based processes. I am comfortable working hands-on with a wide range of materials and tools, and I also have experience with welding.
I have previous professional experience working as a studio assistant for both a painter and a sculptor, supporting their artistic production and day-to-day studio work. Through these experiences, I became familiar with adapting to another artist’s working methods, assisting with practical production processes, and handling materials carefully and efficiently.
I am particularly interested in opportunities involving artist studio and production assistance, practical support with artwork production and materials, painting, drawing and mixed-media workshops, art class or workshop assistance, art education and portfolio preparation support, as well as short-term art projects and exhibition-related support.
I am also interested in gradually expanding my professional practice into art education. While I am new to formal teaching, I bring many years of professional studio practice, international exhibition experience, and an art education background in both Japan and the US.
