is currently offering an Artist Liaison / Sales position

This position is full time and involves strategic and administrative support of the gallery artists and their work, as well as the mediation of gallery artists to international collectors and institutions.

A minimum of 4 years previous commercial gallery experience is required, as well as fluency in English, with additional fluency in German preferred (a third language is a bonus). Comprehensive and relevant experience in sales and artist production is required. The ideal candidate is articulate and confident in communicating the work of artists in the gallery programme with collectors, curators, museums, and institutions as well as journalists and writers. The ideal candidate must be organised and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

- Liaising with artists in the gallery programme regarding upcoming exhibitions at the gallery and externally such as museums, institutions, other commercial galleries as well as projects, commissions and events/performances and their participation in art fair presentations

- Being the contact person at the gallery for specified artists, communicating with museums, institutions, and other commercial galleries regarding invitations for exhibitions and/or commissions

- Keeping an updated archive of the artists’ works using the gallery database and contacting venues for documentation of the artists’ exhibitions

- Research of production and fabrication both within Germany and internationally

- Tracking and archiving production costs of artworks for both the artist and gallery using the gallery database

- Working in close collaboration with the gallery owner and team on the placement of works to collectors and institutions

- Processing sales enquiries, creating and sending offers, as well as handling sales processes

- Art fair applications and preparation, as well as participation in international art fairs with the gallery
