Visual Atelier Artists

The Avantgardeners are looking for visual artists with experience of craft and/ or seamstressing to join our Atelier team. Our atelier is located at Bündner Rigi, in the Swiss mountains, where we also host artist and music residencies.

The duration of the of your time at the atelier would be approximately four to six weeks between the end of June and late September. Whether you come from a crafting or visual arts background with experience in working with various materials, or from a sewing/fashion background, your versatility in handling different materials and techniques will be valuable :) We are also looking to build a longer term crafting group to work with us on future projects.

The Avantgardeners create work at the intersection of music, performance, dance, fashion and the visual arts. We care that you engage yourself with genuine interest in our core themes (future, queerness, ecologies, future visions, identity research, pop culture). We are looking for someone who joins our team with interest, energy, dedication and motivation. Generally we are interested to work with people based in Germany, France, Italy, Greece and United Kingdom (since that’s where most our projects take place).
