To help achieve our ambitious cultural wellbeing mission, we are now seeking a Project Manager to support developing our Art and Cultural Programme.

Outline of Duties:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating tasks and activities critical to the realization of cultural programmes and activations as well as our art commissions. Working closely with artists, multidisciplinary creatives, institutions, public and private partners, the Project Manager will be involved in all phases of development, from planning and conceptualisation to execution and production. This position reports to Senior Project Managers and Curators and works collaboratively with members of Therme Art’s communications, finance and development teams to support all essential department activities and institutional initiatives.

Tasks:
• Research on contemporary artists practices, relevant curatorial themes and tendencies
• Development and writing of curatorial strategies in alignment with the projects’ goals and context
• Artist Liaison with the artists involved, providing support as required
• Develop and manage commission budgets and timelines, ensuring that the costs are managed according to the allocated resources and deadlines are met
• Draw up and negotiate commission contracts, create proposals and secure permits
• Liaise and managing relevant external partners, contractors and facilitate necessary agreements.
• Coordinate fine art and liability insurance, create condition reports, and oversee ongoing maintenance of commissions.
• Create feasibility studies and technical implementation plans for the commission including renderings, technical requirements, written descriptions, etc.
• Liaison and associate the commissioned artist with concept development, providing support as required.
• Work closely with artists, fabricators, and other vendors to research, develop, and manage the production of artworks
• Identify suitable materials, technologies, and construction method for the artwork production.
• Coordinate packing, shipping, and delivery of artworks.
• Additional duties as requested by the team.
• Organize installation and de-installation of projects, supervise installation crews, and manage all on-site logistics.

Besondere Anforderungen

Qualifications:

The Project Manager will possess an unparalleled work ethic with a high sense of urgency and the ability to work to tight deadlines. They will have a deep interest in current issues around culture, wellbeing and sustainability. They will also hold:

• Bachelor’s degree in art history, art administration, curation, architecture or another related degree
• Minimum of three to five (3-5) years professional experience in arts project management, exhibition organization, or other relevant experience in the field
• A track record of realized projects
• Excellent research, written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with artists, fabricators, and art installers; knowledge of art production methods and processes preferred
• Strong organizational skills and capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail, creative thinker, and ability to problem solve
• Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite
• Other graphics/design/3D modeling programs are desirable
• A native level in English; other languages are desirable
