Die Galerie Jan Kaps sucht ab sofort im Rahmen einer unbefristeten Festanstellung (100%) eine/n Gallery Associate (m/w/d). Seit der Gründung 2013, zeigt Jan Kaps international beachtete Künstler*innen und präsentiert diese sowohl am Standort Köln, als auch auf internationalen Kunstmessen u.a. auf der Art Basel.

WAS SIE ERWARTET

- Kontakt mit Künstler*innen
- Messe- und Ausstellungsvorbereitung
- Archivierung Pressespiegel / Erstellen von Clippings
- Pflege der Datenbanken, Webseite, etc.
- Office maintenance
- Allgemeine Bürorganisation, Online- Recherche und Datenpflege
- Handling von hochwertigen Kunstwerken: von Gemälden bis hin zu Skulpturen oder aufwendigen Installationen, hängen, verpacken und auspacken von Kunst
- Organisation des Kunstlagers / Inventarisierung

WAS SIE MITBRINGEN

- Ausgeprägtes Interesse an zeitgenössischer Kunst
- Erste Berufserfahrung erwünscht
- Beherrschung der deutschen und englischen Sprache
- Hohes Maß an Verantwortungsbewusstsein, Umsichtigkeit und Genauigkeit im Umgang mit Kunstwerken
- Freundliches Auftreten und Zuverlässigkeit
- Team- und Kommunikationsfähigkeit

- Kenntnisse in Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) und anderen Anwendungen (Word, Excel, etc.)

Jan Kaps Gallery is seeking a full-time Gallery Associate (m/w/d) to join our team. Since the gallery was founded in 2013, Jan Kaps has promoted international artists at the gallery’s exhibition space in Cologne and at international art fairs such as Art Basel.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

- Contact with artists
- Preparation of exhibitions and fairs
- Archiving of press clippings
- Updating the website and database (Artlogic), adding and categorizing contacts
- Office maintenance
- Day-to-day office operations, online research
- Handling of valuable artworks: from paintings to sculptures and complex installations, including installing, hanging, packing and unwrapping art
- Organization of the art storage/inventory
