Program Coordinator


■ Role Purpose
You manage and coordinate the different projects of coculture e.V. and the coculture hub; oversee the general structure and planning and support the General Manager in the further development of the association, with a focus on the formation of its profile and strategic orientation.

Within the team you give independent impulses that promote project development. You supervise project development and drive implementation - also with a view to fundraising and management. You ensure an efficient personnel structure and organise and optimise the internal work processes of the different projects by permanently monitoring the environmental conditions. You lead the project participants supporting you in a goal- and performance-oriented way by means of a co-creative and cooperative leadership style.

■ Responsibilities

• Support the institutionalization of coculture e.V.
• Conceptualize, plan, implement and coordinate the further development of coculture, it’s organizational and conceptual structure and its projects, together with the General Managers
• Overall leadership and coordination of all projects, ensuring that projects are well-designed and efficiently implemented; that project objectives are being achieved by applying monitoring and evaluation; that programmes are closed properly and that the requirements of funding partners are respected throughout the project cycle
• Oversee the coculture budget and different project budgets in cooperation with the finance coordinator
• Being in charge of HR strategy, including hiring process and employee’s feedback
• Develop an outreach strategy to build long-term relationships with relevant partners
• Identify potential partners, create and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders
• Serve as the connecting point between the management and the team, contributing to regular adjustment of policies related to human resources, operational and legal aspects, while ensuring transparency and open communication across the whole team
• Ensure that all projects are in line with coculture’s general strategy

■ Qualifications

• Experience in managing organizations, spaces and projects, ideally in a non-profit sector
• Experience in strategic planning, governance, organizational
development, financial management, international cooperation and networking, fundraising
and PR
• Experience in building up company structures, preferably in a non-profit context
• Experience in creating and overseeing budgets for different projects
• Experience to manage different interest groups within a project and coordinate them to
work in an efficient way
• Experience in the field of HR administration
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
• Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects

Excellent English and German (Arabic is a +)

With the support of a group of cultural actors from different backgrounds, CoCulture e.V. is a Berlin-based non-profit organization founded by artist and cultural activist Khaled Barakeh in 2017, created as a response to the challenges faced by displaced cultural producers in Europe and beyond.
