Press and editorial manager


Studio Tomás Saraceno, an international practice merging art, architecture and scientific-related fields, is currently seeking a Press and Editorial manager (full-time) with excellent research skills and strong attention to detail to join the internationally renowned Artist’s team.

The studio is a fast-paced, hands-on and experimental environment. Our collaborative approach focuses on interdisciplinary projects of different scales, taking place around the world. Suitable applicants to work closely with the artist must be diligent, enthusiastic, and quick-learning, with proven abilities to manage schedules effectively. The Manager will work closely with teams of other departments in the studio.

Job description:

• Managing publishing (print and digital) projects while working closely with the artist;
• Coordinating activities of a small team, including delegating tasks and setting priorities, overseeing budgets and timelines, defining roles, procedures and workflow;
• Organizing the studio’s archive, implementing and monitoring archiving procedures;
• Representing the studio and its practice as a press and PR person, including maintaining existing and initiating new press liaisons;
• Communicating with institutions, galleries and other parties; regularly updating external and internal studio communication;
• Creative writing and text editing;
• Assisting the artist in research activities and exhibition projects;
• Organizing public events and maintaining the studio’s contact base.

Desired profile:

• Successfully completed studies (MA) in art history, cultural management, curating, communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Previous experience in publishing and editorial projects. Knowledge in digital publishing platforms is an asset.
• Good writing and composing skills; perfect style and creative thinking.
• Flexible and committed attitude to work. Demonstrated leadership skills. Highly motivated and able to demonstrate initiative.
• Good time management skills. An ability to set priorities, manage a number of tasks concurrently and work independently; attention to detail; resistance to stress and great communicational skills.
• Excellent English; Spanish or German would be a plus.
• Knowledge of Adobe CS is an advantage.
